Where to see fireworks in the Indianapolis area

There are plenty of places to watch fireworks this Fourth of July throughout the Indianapolis metro area. Here is a look at where the skies will light up:

BROWNSBURG

The July 4th Extravaganza will take place at Arbuckle Acres Park with a day of activities including a 10 a.m. parade, concert at 7:30 p.m. and fireworks at 10 p.m. Get more info.

 CARMEL

CarmelFest (July 3 and 4) will conclude with a fireworks show beginning at 9:45 p.m. The show will be synchronized with music. Fireworks will be shot off from Carmel Ice Skadium. Get more info here.

 CICERO

The 25th annual Lights over Morse will be July 4-7, with fireworks on the 4th at 10 p.m. If you don’t have a boat to watch from the water, one of the best places to see the fireworks is near Main and Buckeye streets. There will be live music, carnival, parade and food vendors throughout the weekend.

 FISHERS

There will be three free fireworks shows in Fishers on July 4th (find more info here), plus the annual Symphony on the Prairie show:

  • Toy Factory will perform with fireworks after at the Nickel Plate Amphitheater from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. followed by fireworks, which will be launched from Holland Park.

  • Fireworks will be launched from Cyntheanne Park or HSE Intermediate/Junior High parking lots.

  • You’ll be able to see fireworks from Geist Reservoir, as fireworks will be launched from Fall Creek Bridge.

  • Symphony on the Prairie hosts its annual Star-Spangled Symphony with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra followed by a fireworks finale shown while the Symphony plays the  1812 Overture. The show is July 3-5. Get info and tickets here.

 INDIANAPOLIS

  • For the second year, there will be a Fourth Fest. The street festival begins at 6 p.m. with food trucks, ice cream stands, beverages and a kid’s zone on St. Clair Street and American Legion Mall followed by fireworks at 10 p.m. The best viewing areas are on the Indiana War Memorial grounds and American Legion Mall.   • Cheer on the Indians then ooh and aah over fireworks at Victory Field. Since Victory Field opened on July 11, 1996, the Indians have played a July 4th game. Get ticket info here.

  • The annual City of Lawrence 4th Fest takes place at Lawrence Community Park beginning with a parade at 10 a.m. and concluding with fireworks at 10 p.m. Get more info here.  

LEBANON

Fourth of July festivities begin at 1 p.m. at Memorial Park. There will be a parade, events and entertainment. Fireworks begin at 10 p.m.

 NOBLESVILLE

A parade at 4 p.m. throughout downtown Noblesville kicks off the 27th annual Noblesville Festival. There will be live music, activities for kids, teens and adults, food and more at Forest Park. The fireworks show begins at 10 a.m. For those who prefer to watch outside of the park, consider viewing at nearby Federal Hill Commons.

 WESTFIELD

The annual Westfield Rocks the Fourth will be from 4 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. at Grand Park. The festival includes live music, a hot-dog eating contest, games, food and more. Fireworks begin at 10 p.m. Get more info here.

 ZIONSVILLE

Fireworks will launch about 10 p.m. at Zionsville Lions Park. The event begins at 5 p.m. with entertainment and food. On-site parking is $8 per vehicle. Get more info here.
